Reading Profile

Fiction: I mostly enjoy reading cozy mysteries and humor. When I settle in to read a novel, I generally choose books that bring light, levity, and laughter to my life. I love Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and Laura Levine’s Jaine Austen series. Right now, I’m reading Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series; I’m currently on the sixth book, Mini-Shopaholic . I also enjoy reading the “Florida Man”-type novels of Carl Hiaasen and Tim Dorsey. I’m a big fan of the Sunshine State, and I love to follow the misadventures of the characters from coast to coast. Nonfiction:  I have particular interests in owls, weather, baking, and true crime. The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule is an especially memorable true crime read. My husband and I had watched a couple of shows on Ted Bundy, so I was interested in reading Rule’s book. Even my husband read the book after I did, and he’s not much of a reader.
